mooncake-shopping!
i've always loved shopping for mooncakes, and i've been at it for the past one hour! i think i know what i'll order at the the office on-site sale tomorrow; both from raffles hotel: baked mooncake with pine nuts, macadamia nuts & white lotus paste and baked mother of pearl mooncake with single yolk & white lotus paste. :)
i've also set my eyes on sze chuan court's (raffles the plaza) baked peach-shaped mooncake with single yolk, macadamia nuts & white lotus paste, time to head down to takashimaya for mooncake tasting this weekend! ;) as you can see, i like the traditional lotus paste baked ones with assorted nuts, and preferably single yolk. but of course with "or-nee" (yam paste with gingko nuts) being one of my favourite hot desserts, you can't forget the famous crown prince hotel teochew-styled flaky skin mooncake filled with yam paste! *licks lips!*
btw, heard that chinese garden celebrating lantern festival with a safari theme?
"Filled with over 1100 pieces of lanterns, you will be immersed into this animal land with a touch of tradition from the moment you enter our gates! From the dancing animal orchestras, to the bridge of musical fairies, leading you into the majestic palace of Chang Er, to the Great Migration, the World of Big Cats and even a safari-styled ride through The World of Carnivorous Plants and Insects, it will be exciting, educational and fun for everyone!"
