what an eventful weekend! parents are now holidaying in hainan island, china. it's going to be a long two-week trip for them, and they're spending the second week in the village. that's the whole reason why they had EIGHT bags to bring over, most of them filled with old wearable clothes and freshly ground coffee powder which they wish to give away to the villagers (actually, i still don't get why they like our local coffee powder). anyway, because of limited boot space, we had to drive two cars to the airport on saturday, and guess what, i ended up driving myself home ALONE! first time i drove alone with ZERO GUIDANCE, and it was a pretty long ride too. my dad was pleasantly surprised that i could manage u-turns easily and was composed throughout the ride to the airport - obviously he doesn't know his daughter enjoys the thrill of speed, and often exceeds the speed limit on expressways. :P
saturday evening was spent at catherine's place for dinner buffet to celebrate her wedding and then late-night movie in town (give aeon flux a miss unless you're a huge charlize theron fan, i almost dozed off on several occasions). met up with my primary school mates on sunday evening at bakerzin at paragon, it's a yearly ritual where we meet to catch up, we bitched about our jobs, pregnant lady colleague and their maternity leave and medical appointment privileges, boyfriends, and why wedding bells are starting to ring for girls in our batch, making us feel super damn old. anyway, i do count myself alot more fortunate than the rest since my place has minimal office politics (and few pregnant folks), i'm surprised even the two doctors suffer from that, and what's more the girls working in the finance industry. such rare company teamed with delectable food - sauteed mushroom/spinach/poached egg served with toasted bread (good choice: it tasted as good as it looked in the menu) and the most divine chocolate amer, strawberry shortcake and walnut cheesecake! oh yes, i received a gg<5 beige tote during the gift exchange, nice. :)
shall let the pictures do the rest of the talking......

anyway, i just checked my e-mail and herman's snowing pictures from uk got me really excited! pretty sight, isn't it?
