weekend indulgence
during dinner at vila'ge at hereen, we were discussing about what next to do on a friday night. ktv singing was out 'cos i can't sing for nuts (sorry, gals!) - i have explained it to a zillion people that i have a limited pitch range, and please don't doubt me! watching a movie is like what jack described as "very uninteractive", bowling and pool aren't really our type of activity, so in the end, we went to settler's cafe at holland village. :-) anyway, maybe we can consider bowling or pool the next time, just make sure we get to choose the last lane or the table at the darkest corner of the room, hah. we spent more than two hours at settler's munching on mixed nuts, french fries and playing just three games - a silly monkey and sticks game (we agreed it was quite a silly but good warming up game), pictionary (boys vs girls! eh, you don't need to know rocket science to know who won! :P) and blokus (quite an interesting and intellectual game). it's a pity xp had to leave early... glad you like the aries keychain! :-)

marina square lights up for christmas in the theme of purple and gold. we planned to dine at genki sushi this weekend using the $20 voucher i redeemed with my credit card reward points. being quite a fan of japanese food, it's actually strange i've never tried genki before... well, it's probably due to the locations - the other two outlets in town are at forum and united square, hmmm, i think i've never stepped into united square before (!) and the only time i go to forum is for my monthly facials. i gave the bf the opportunity to place the order while i went to the washroom (super long queue!), and well, i was pleasantly surprised that i liked everything that was on the table when i was back and of course, how fast they managed to serve the food. :-) the salmon sushi was fresh, and i enjoyed the octopus balls (aka takoyaki), they tasted much better than those from the takopachi booths (with ziltch QC). well, what's a proper meal without the DESSERT?! the cherry in the pic's from swensen's strawberry stripes, a sundae with traditional flavours of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice-cream topped layers of strawberries chunks and chopped almonds. i'm beginning to like strawberry ice-cream, but not a total convert... chocolate's STILL the way to go!
