my weekend expedition
although i'm never a huge fan of orchids, i've always been curious about this orchid garden we have in singapore, and i finally had the chance to visit the place today - ALONE. the bf was having his usual sunday morning badminton game, but it so happened that it was at the old NIE sports complex. instead of dropping me at the gym, i decided that i should do something different today, and a walk by myself at the botanic gardens nearby seemed like a good idea. anyway, you'll be surprised at the number of people (many whom were tourists) that spend their lazy morning at the national park, some strolling and pushing the baby prams, and some sipping coffee by the fountain. anyway, here are just some of the orchid pictures i took... and just for info, it is NOT FREE, there's an entrance fee of S$5 for adults, thank goodness i brought along some spare cash. i took a while to find the singapore flower - vanda miss joaquim (the last three pictures) - the map was really quite hopeless.
