my parents performed at the nanyang academy of fine arts auditorium on saturday evening. the session started with the two songs by the choir, then followed by individual solo pieces for a selected group. both my parents were asked to perform a solo each - my mum had the easier task of doing the karaoke version (which means she had the help of a microphone), while my dad did it without a mic and had to focus on projection as well. sometimes you just have to give in to these singing enthusiasts who don't mind subjecting themselves to such a high level of stress even at their age. mind you, it was a full house that night.
oh yes, and if you're wondering, the bf and i went to TCC for a sweet supper, oh the devil's chocolate cake was an absolute sin.

i conquered another US city!
