csi, discovery, animal planet, maybe some sports and wrestling.

if you ask him what dressing he'll like on his salad, his reply's going to be thousand island. simply 'cos he doesn't know the rest by hard - italian, ranch, vinaigrette, etc - whatever...

shopping with a click - woohoo!
white glass, tensha and brass links and chains. a mix of vintaj and other
non-tarnish, nickel free brass. made by lovely belinda, i love working with her because she's extremely fast and can custom make exactly what you have in mind. i am seriously thinking of getting her to design the earrings for my evening gown and cheongsam...
pink hedeghog purse from florspace, finally something to hold my stack of membership cards!
somebody was doing a delia*s spree, and i so happen to be in the mailing list (for god knows what reason)... and since the website was having a clearance sale, and i haven't bought myself a top for a while. floral-printed one-shoulder top with ruffle detailing - it's cheap at only S$25.
and most importantly, our personalised wedding bowl! i haven't decided if it's going to be a ring bowl for our wedding bands, or simply a fun ornament to have. anyway, it's cute and i can't wait for it to arrive in singapore.

lightning bolt strike again
Double Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt says it will be Thursday - his 22nd birthday - when it finally sinks in he has fulfilled his childhood dream of being a world record-holder in the 200 metres.
The tall Jamaican completed a rare sprint double by winning the men's 200m title here on Wednesday in a world record time of 19.30 seconds having also broken the men's 100m mark in another record time of 9.69secs on Saturday.
Bolt is the first man to win the two events in the same Olympic Games since Carl Lewis in 1984.
"The 200 metres record has been my dream since I was 15, when I was the youngest ever person to win the world junior title - it is my first love," said Bolt after breaking Michael Johnson's 200m record of 19.32 from the Atlanta Games in 1996.
i'm looking forward to the 4x100m relay, i'm sure jamaica stands a very good chance. oh yes, i guess everybody will be tuning in to the beijing olympics live scoreboard in office tomorrow morning when li jiawei faces zhang yining in the ladies' table-tennis semi-finals at 10am... well, it could have been an all-singapore semis, argh. best of luck to singapore!

a night of olympics, cake and ice-cream
the initial celebration plan was to go try out the korean BBQ along pasir panjang road. but since we were also keen to cheer on our women's table-tennis team in the finals (actually the bf mainly, because there's still the lin dan vs lee chong wei badminton finals), we decided to stay home and settled for home-cooked spaghetti, sarpino's pizza, awfully chocolate cake, and lots of ben&jerry's ice-cream. alas, i forgot all about the two bottles of ice wine in the fridge. LION, HAPPY BIRTDAY, once again - too bad jack's not around to join in the fun. eh, now you know ben&jerry's chocolate ice-cream is in-stock again! wahaha. anyway, a sidenote - i hate the fact that lana and jane's cake station are both closed on sundays.
