our saturday
we went to the baby seminar organised by pigeon and thomson medical centre yesterday - boy, it was really quite a good deal! for $15 per couple, we got ourselves a pigeon goody bag (moisturising baby wipes, disposable nursing pads, milk storage bottles, etc) and a pretty darn good lunch at the hotel! we didn't even know that lunch would be provided, else we would have given our snack a miss (we gobbled down some four leaves bread minutes before the seminar, thinking we had to starve through four hours since we only paid a miserly $15, haha). anyway, the seminar was pretty useful; the talks were conducted by mrs wong boh boi, a very knowledgeable and reputable speaker in this area, and she shared with us breastfeeding tips and how to bathe a baby. there's this 3-month old french baby that was the model for the bathing segment, and the poor kid was wailing away just before and after his bath - well, i guess he doesn't enjoy being naked in the open and cold!

it was also my bro's 31st birthday yesterday, so mum made pork chops for dinner. okay, the pork chops were really HUGE - see the hubby goofing around before dinner, amazed at the size of each serving. and this was not it, we had it with potato salad (by yours truly), almond jelly dessert, more fruits, and a chocolate hazelnut cake from four leaves later in the night. i seriously don't think i can maintain my weight after this weekend.
